Chiquita and the Heineman Foundation officially delivered an equipped ambulance to the “Elisa Martínez” Children's Hospital in Puerto Barrios with the participation of Chiquita employees and contractors, representatives of civil society, and Hospital workers.

At the same event, the first stone was laid for the creation of the Neonate Intensive Unit. This Unit will be possible thanks to the Chiquita initiative project, called “Friends of the Children's Hospital”, in which the Heineman Foundation participates with the donation of specialized medical equipment, Chiquita with an initial contribution for the construction of hospital infrastructure, and the contribution of private companies from Puerto Barrios that join the project.
