We inform you that during the early hours of Saturday, January 25 of this year, one of the mobile port cranes (MHC) suffered a fire within the facilities of this Terminal.

The incident was dealt with immediately and in a timely manner, ensuring the safety and integrity of the people, who are our priority. After providing the necessary assistance, operations were resumed.

We express our deep gratitude to the assistance bodies who provided a prompt response and valuable support during the emergency. We continue working to ensure that the effects of this situation do not affect the interests of our clients and users, providing all the necessary collaboration and arrangements for this purpose.

Puerto Barrios Railway Terminal reaffirms its commitment to the safety and protection of people, cargo, ships and port facilities, and we affirm that these incidents are handled with all the diligence and resources they require to maintain our commitments to clients, users and the State of Guatemala.
